Fleet Week — the seven-day celebration honoring the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard and Marine Corps — with its flotilla of ships on the Hudson River, military demonstrations and string of parties is how we mark the beginning of summer fun here in New York City. The weeklong event is a new way for the residents of New York City and the surrounding tri-state area to continue to take part in the annual celebration despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. “We're excited to once again connect with people in New York and around the world,” said Rear Adm. Charles W. Rock, Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic.
