Broadway in Norfolk is thrilled to announce the 2021 season, featuring two Andrew Lloyd Webber classics, the return of a true-life musical phenomenon and a Norfolk premiere, all scheduled for Chrysler Hall in 2021. The season kicks off in February 2021 with the 50th anniversary tour of the Olivier Award-winning production Jesus Christ Superstar, followed by the return of the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical Jersey Boys. The 2021 season continues with another Andrew Lloyd Webber classic and one of the biggest hits in theatrical history, Cats, and closes with Norfolk’s premiere of the critically acclaimed Broadway production of Anastasia.

Sales for renewing subscriptions began July 29. New subscriptions will be available for purchase beginning this fall – date to be announced. On-sale dates for individual tickets will be announced as each performance approaches. Group sales opportunities will be available for all shows.

In celebration of its 50th Anniversary, a new mesmerizing production comes to North America. Originally staged by London’s Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre and helmed by the acclaimed director Timothy Sheader (Crazy for You, Into the Woods) and award-winning choreographer Drew McOnie (King Kong, Strictly Ballroom), this production won the 2017 Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival garnering unprecedented reviews and accolades. Jersey Boys is the behind-the-music story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons. They were just four guys from Jersey, until they sang their very first note. They had a sound nobody had ever heard… and the radio just couldn’t get enough of. But while their harmonies were perfect on stage, off stage it was a very different story – a story that has made them an international sensation all over again. Anastasia features a book by celebrated playwright Terrence McNally, a lush new score by Stephen Flaherty (music) and Lynn Ahrens (lyrics) with direction by Tony Award® winner Darko Tresnjak.
