Special guest Eddie Robinson will be on hand to greet spectators. The Navy veteran is the lone living member of the 1943 Naval Training Station team. Robinson had a long Major League Baseball career as both a player and coach, including being the first baseman for the 1948 World Series champion Cleveland Indians.

A treat for baseball enthusiasts and historians alike will be a walk through history of baseball at Naval Station Norfolk, authentically reproduced historical uniforms for players, and concessions available at 1943 prices. The Norfolk Tides will take part in this historic celebration and will be available for autographs starting at noon. The Tides are the Class Triple-A minor league affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles.
